If you are like me, you ended up spending quite a bit of money throughout the holiday season. Because I like buying special gifts for all of the people in my life, when it comes to spending money during the holidays, I always end up spending more than I intended. In the past, I would try to make a budget for myself during this time of the year. However, once I realized that I went over my budget every single year, I decided that instead of trying to make and stick to a budget, I was just going to focus on getting great gifts for the people who I love.

Although I don’t put myself in debt or any extreme situations like that, once the holiday season is over, I do try to cut back on my spending (in order to potentially avoid putting myself in a bad situation). To give you an example of how I cut back on my spending, we can talk about my upcoming trip. While you may think that taking a trip isn’t a good example of saving money, it actually is because I’m reducing all of my expenses. For example, I am renting a car, but I used a car rental discount coupon to get a really good deal on it.
